* The Lazarus Project: is an initiative of dubious nature, where approximately 1000 tracks from our wishlist, which were either extremely hard to find, or were officially released with appallingly crappy poor spectres, or were altogether unavailable in lossless (or at least in mp3 which can easily look like lossless) were collected separately and processed with a codec akin to the one YouTube uses. This codec (so we understand) has a DSP or something which somehow makes the spectral picture rich and filled, making the sound look like lossless. But the cost of the nice spectral picture is an occasional distortion, where parts of the tracks which have simplistic basslines, or long humming pads, or beatless portions (in short - less "filled" with sounds) might receive a distinctive, extremely annoying distortion, which sounds like a metallic hum echoing each sound, otherwise pristine in the crappy spectre original unprocessed files. Yet, on a rare occasion, some tracks became rather nice sounding (e.g. the long sought Lyric & Natali's Overemotion). For some tracks we made and additional effort and scrapped the metallically distorted portions, replacing them with the same parts from the unprocessed file (e.g. Океан Ельзи - Друг Egor Olesov Remix or Solid Sessions - Janeiro (Armin van Buuren Dub)). These recombined tracks will be marked in the index.xls with the Theta symbols (Θ). Otherwise tracks that were simply processed with the afiorementioned codec, without further editing are marked with the degree character (°). Note, that these tracks only serve as placeholders, waiting indefinitely to be replaced with the original masters, just as intended.
Additionally, unprocessed tracks were indoctrinated and strored alongside the processed ones in some anthologies or packs (as was done, for example, in the Orkidea folder for the full length unmixed tracks from the Metaverse album, otherwise officially released as good mp3). A selection of unprocessed filse were also bundled and stored separately here: https://mega.nz/#F!UiJ2DKKJ!k0yOhiJLyX69KVT0L3LACA
As for the tracks marked with "Ø" in index.xls - these were not processed with the DSP, but are not from the original sources either. Mostly these are the extremely rare radio edits that were cut and edited by us, using the available full length versions to achieve as much resemblance to the structure of the original master, or some dubs restored using cutouts from DJ sets, or simply FLACS made from mp3s with incredibly rich spectres, or a few radio edits which only previously existed officially with crappy 128 kbps spectres (such as Libra presents Taylor - Anomaly (Ferry Corsten Radio Edit) or Matt Darey's Mash Up - Liberation (Ferry Corsten Radio Edit)).
